The NIH (National Institutes of Health) is a government organization whose mission is "to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability."  While they have had a tremendous impact on the development of life-saving medication, their work is largely unknown to the general public. The goal of the requested infographic was to bring awareness to their contribution.
